Brandhoek

There is a wide variety of accommodation available in the town of Ypres and immediate surroundings. Accommodation is given here with contact details and websites as appropriate. In addition, the Ypres/Ieper Tourist Office can supply a colour brochure of all the hotels and Bed & Breakfast guesthouses in Ieper and Greater Ieper giving photographs, facilities and prices.

Jon and Liz Millward offer a warm welcome at their family run Bed & Breakfast situated at Brandhoek, Vlamertinge - just off the N308/N38 towards Poperinge. The view from the rear of the house looks across to Brandhoek New Military Cemetery No. 3. Captain Noel Godfrey Chavasse, VC and Bar, MC is buried in the nearby Brandhoek Military Cemetery (Plot III, Row B, grave 15).

  • At Cherry Blossom B&B there is free parking for cars, trailers and small mini-buses. A garage is also available for motorbikes and bicycles.
  • Battlefield tours can be arranged with a registered guide.
  • Packed lunches and evening meals can be provided on request.
  • Children are welcome at Cherry Blossom.
  • Bicycle hire is available.

Guest & Public Refreshment Services

  • Buffet Lunches, English Teas and Jon's speciality "Chip-Butties" will be available for individual travellers or Tour Groups of up to 25 pre-booked.
  • Research done by my son on relatives and battalions of the Great War.

Cherry Blossom Tea Rooms - Opening Saturday 11th March 2006

  • Freshly prepared home cooked food
  • Coffee served from 10.30 a.m.
  • Lunches from 11.30 a.m.
  • Teas from 2.00 p.m. until 5.30 p.m. each day (closed Thursdays unless by request)

Catering for the Individual Traveller or Groups of up to 30 persons (Pre-Booking required for 15 – 30 persons)
