The Great War Society

The Great War Society was founded in 1984.

It is a non profit making organisation based in the United Kingdom. The aim of the Society is to provide an opportunity for practical research into the uniforms, weapons, equipment, training and everyday tasks of Great War soldiers, both of the Allied, and the Central powers.

Members of The Great War Society dress in uniforms and use equipment from the period of 1914-1918. The Society is a Living History group and not a battle re-enactment group.
