The National World War 1 Museum opened at the site of the restored Liberty Memorial in December 2006. The museum aims to present an interpretation of World War 1 and its consquences. The museum offers a range of permanent, special and online exhibitions throughout the year. Lectures and film screenings are available for the public and battlefield pilgrimages are available for members of the museum. The Research Center provides access to over 60,000 archival documents and objects and almost 6,000 books.

Tue - Sun 10.00 - 17.00
Summer opening hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day): open daily 10.00 to 17.00
Also open on major holidays which fall on a Monday.
Closed: Thanksgiving, 24 & 25 December, 1 January. Also closed Saturday 11 May 2013 for a special event.
Research Center Opening Hours
Tue - Fri 10.00 - 16.00; Sat 10.00 to 14.00

Admission
Admission fee with concession rates available for young people aged 6-17, senior citizens, students, and military personnel.
World War Wednesdays: all tickets at 7 dollars each.
Facilities for Visitors
A museum shop and online shop offer a variety of items for sale, including a large collection of books. 10% discount for teachers.
The Over There Café provides a varied menu.
